Social Worker – Staffordshire Moorlands
We are looking for a committed Social Worker to join our Assessment & Staying Together Team in Staffordshire Moorlands.
Main Responsibilities
As a Social Worker you will
- Work with families across the continuum of need from Child in Need, Child Protection, Children in Care through to the conclusion of Care Proceedings and Adoption planning.
- Coordinate the child’s plan, review and ensure children are seen and heard.
- Undertake Section 47 investigations.
- Place children into Local Authority care when they can no longer remain at home.
- Complete both private law reports and public law proceedings.
- Refer into centralised services for specialist support.
- Liaise with key agencies and make necessary referrals.
- Collaborate closely with Early Help colleagues.
- Upload all visits, child’s plans and assessments in a timely manner in line with the Local Authority’s recording policy.

Requirements
- Professional social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Experience of direct work with children and families.
- Experience working in a multi‑agency environment.
- Highly organised and able to meet clear deadlines.
- Flexible approach and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Desire to work with children and families to provide timely support and keep families together safely.
Additional: Current UK driving licence and vehicle, confident driver covering short and long distances.
