Are you a Level 6 Qualified Careers Adviser with experience in an education setting? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Careers and Participation Service supporting young people who are at risk of not continuing in learning after statutory education and young people who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET). You will also deliver careers guidance services in schools as part of our commercial careers offer to educational institutions. Join us, and you’ll contribute to communities and make a difference—because we all have a part to play in improving the lives of Staffordshire’s residents. Main Responsibilities Work with a diverse range of young people, from disaffected to gifted and talented, providing careers guidance and transition support to enable successful participation in post-16 learning and to maximize their future potential. Deliver one-to-one and group careers guidance interventions in education and community settings. Develop and maintain effective relationships with school staff and other relevant professionals. Promote and expand the commercial careers guidance offer to education providers. The Ideal Candidate As a Level 6 Qualified Careers Adviser, you will have experience working with young people in educational and/or community settings. You should also: Be able to engage and work with a wide range of young people, from disaffected to gifted and talented. Possess strong time management skills to handle a caseload of young people and educational providers to meet objectives. Have the ability to develop and manage working relationships with school staff and other professionals involved with your caseload.
