Main Responsibilities
- Work with families across the continuum of need from Child In Need to the conclusion of Care Proceedings.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Early Help, Children in Care, Care Leavers, Children with Disabilities, health and education services under a district model.
- Coordinate statutory duties, including completing child plans and ensuring children are seen and heard.
- Conduct Section 47 investigations.
- Place children into Local Authority care when it is agreed they can no longer remain at home.
- Prepare Private and Public Law reports.
- Refer children to centralised specialist support and services.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Ideally has completed ASYE before starting the role.
- Desire to work with children and families to provide timely support with the aim of keeping families together where safe.
