Staffordshire Cost Consultants Ltd provides flexible and results-driven support in the construction, housing, and property sectors, with a specialty in Listed Buildings & Heritage Projects. We offer services on a freelance consultancy basis, tailored to meet the needs of both public and private organizations, and operate fully Outside IR35. Our core services include cost consultancy, quantity surveying, commercial management, financial reporting, procurement, and risk management. Based in Barton-Under-Needwood, Staffordshire, we serve the surrounding regions including Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor located in Barton-Under-Needwood. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as cost control, preparation of bills of quantities (BOQ), cost management, cost planning, and preparing cost reports. Additional duties include supporting various commercial management and procurement activities, as well as financial reporting and budget forecasting.
Qualifications
- Cost Control and Cost Management skills
- Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Cost Planning
- Proficiency in Cost Reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Experience in the construction industry, especially with Listed Buildings & Heritage Projects, is a plus
