About the Company
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for one of our leading clients in the Teesside area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company at the forefront of their industry, driving innovation and excellence.
About the Role
This position focuses on supporting Engineering and Operations teams through continuous improvement, project delivery, and equipment maintenance. You’ll lead new capital projects, optimize existing processes, and provide technical support for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance Oversight: Manage maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and budget targets are met.
- Planning & Execution: Coordinate and deliver electrical maintenance tasks in collaboration with the Engineering Manager to improve site productivity.
- Team Leadership: Supervise Technicians and contractors, ensuring effective execution of planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance, including diagnostics and repairs.
- Breakdown Support: Provide timely responses to equipment breakdowns across all sites, including on-call support.
- Control Systems Management: Maintain, repair, and optimize PLC, SCADA, HMI, and drive systems, while managing critical spares and backups.
- Collaboration: Participate in daily workload reviews, corrective action planning, and reporting on maintenance KPIs. Support financial planning with the Engineering Manager.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance processes while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Education: HNC minimum; Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering preferred.
Required Skills
- Expertise with PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and drive systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley).
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC drives, variable frequency drives, and closed-loop control systems.
- Experience with monitoring and commissioning vibration/temperature detection systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and control diagrams.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CMM systems (e.g., Synchro).
