The Role
You'll be responsible for managing a variety of road freight movements across the UK and Europe, ensuring shipments are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to the highest standards of customer service.
From coordinating transport and customs requirements to maintaining customer relationships and solving operational challenges, no two days will be the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end road freight shipments.
- Coordinate import, export and cross-trade movements.
- Arrange customs documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and transport partners.
- Provide quotations and identify the most effective transport solutions.
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any issues.
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the transport process.
- Maintain accurate operational records and system updates.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience within freight forwarding.
- Strong understanding of European road freight operations.
- Experience managing cross-trade movements.
- Knowledge of UK and European customs procedures.
- Experience handling ADR or hazardous goods.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
