Working in partnership with a successful renewable energy and waste-recycling company, we are recruiting a reliable, safety conscious Tank Farm Operative in Brough. This is a varied role involving both plant and operational duties, supporting the safe handling, processing and movement of raw materials and finished products offering fantastic rates of pay (£14.48ph - £16.92ph).

Shift Pattern / Working Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern working either Days OR Nights depending on your preference 6am-6pm OR 6pm-6am - You WILL NOT be required to rotate between days and nights.

Job Description: As a Tank Farm Operative you will be working within an industrial storage or processing facility handling fuels, oils, chemicals, or biofuel-related products. Your day to day duties will include:

  • Monitoring storage tanks, pumps, pipelines, and valves
  • Loading and unloading tankers or bulk liquid products
  • Checking tank levels, temperatures, and pressures
  • Taking product samples and carrying out quality checks
  • Completing paperwork and logging stock movements
  • Operating control systems and plant equipment
  • Carrying out inspections and basic maintenance
  • Following strict health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Responding to spills, leaks, or equipment faults
  • Keeping the tank farm clean and organised

The Successful Candidate: To be considered for the Tank Farm Operative position, you must have:

  • A valid FLT Counterbalance Licence
  • Previous experience in a processing or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work flexible shift patterns
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations
