We are currently recruiting for a Part‑Time Chef / Cook to join a residential home based in Kings Norton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a flexible part‑time role working 3 days per week, including bank holidays and alternate weekends.
Working Hours and Pay
- 3 days per week
- 7:30 am – 2:30 pm
- Flexible days, including bank holidays and alternate weekends
- £12.90 per hour weekdays
- £13.40 per hour weekends
As the Chef / Cook, you will be the Kitchen Lead and will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen, ensuring residents receive fresh, nutritious meals in a safe and hygienic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating varied menus using fresh produce
- Preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
- Leading the daily running of the kitchen
- Maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised, and compliant with regulations
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook
- Ability to work independently and manage the kitchen effectively
- A strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen standards
- Flexibility to work alternate weekends and bank holidays
- Willingness to provide a DBS check
