Stafforce Ports is recruiting 2 permanent Welders for a well-established client in Southampton, Hampshire. The business is experiencing rapid growth while maintaining a friendly, family-oriented culture. The role includes fabrication, repair, and modification of steel and aluminium components to support ongoing maintenance and refit work.
Responsibilities
- MIG and TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Fabrication and repair work on structural and pipework components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Carrying out repairs both in workshop and external locations
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
- Working independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in MIG/TIG welding
- Ability to work to and interpret drawings
- Comfortable working in industrial environments
- Code qualifications desirable but not essential
- Ability to be flexible during busy periods (weekends and nights)
