Job: Vehicle Fitter (Mechanical/ Hydraulic / Pneumatic) Location: Sheffield (Ideal for candidates based in Sheffield, Chesterfield or Rotherham) Type: Temporary (with potential to become permanent after 12 weeks) Pay: £14-18p/h DOE Our client are seeking skilled Vehicle Fitters to join their team. This role will be based on-site, with the opportunity for a permanent position after 12 weeks. The ideal candidate will have: Experience of Mechanical/Hydraulic/Pneumatics, ideally on commercial vehicles or plant machinery MIG welding experience Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings. A UK Driver's License is required, and an HGV license is a bonus. Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet deadlines and customer requirements. The job As a Fitter you will: Manufacture and assemble bespoke bodywork including tippers, plant vehicles Interpret technical drawings and specifications to guide your work. Perform MIG welding and assemble vehicle body components. Utilize a variety of welding tools, hand tools, and power tools to complete tasks. Contribute to sub-assembly work, as well as refurbishments and new vehicle builds.Benefits Hourly Rate: £14 to £18 per hour (DOE) Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (3:00 PM finish on Fridays) Overtime: Time and a half after 39 hours, Saturday morning overtime available Full workwear provided, along with a personal locker Requirements: Knowledge of Hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical fitting is essential MIG welding experience is a must. Prior experience with HGV, trailers or Plant would be a benefit Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow instructions accurately.
