We are currently partnering with a successful and growing international food manufacturing business to recruit a Quality Compliance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take ownership of compliance, food safety, and quality systems while leading and developing a high-performing QC team.
Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, you will take ownership of quality systems, lead a small team, and champion a positive food safety culture throughout the operation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all quality compliance and food safety activities across site
- Develop and mentor a QC team of 6, driving performance and engagement
- Manage internal audits, GMP audits, and hygiene audits
- Oversee QHSE systems, action logs, and compliance deadlines
- Handle customer complaints, including root cause analysis and CAPA
- Manage non-conformance processes and ensure timely close-out
- Monitor microbiological trends and implement preventative actions
- Ensure pest control and calibration processes meet required standards
- Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) ensuring compliance
- Maintain and improve quality documentation and systems
- Drive a strong food safety culture across the site
- Proven experience in food manufacturing quality management
- Strong knowledge of BRC / BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, QHSE
- Experience with internal audits and compliance systems
- Skilled in root cause analysis, CAPA, and non-conformance management
- Strong leadership experience - team management & coaching
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management ability
- Hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
