We are currently recruiting for an experienced and commercially minded Product Development Engineer to join our client on a permanent and full-time basis based on the outskirts of Loughborough, Leicestershire.

Salary: £32-40,000 per annum depending on experience

Working hours: Monday to Friday and office based.

About the role:

The Product Development Engineer will support the development, validation, and launch of new and existing products across their full lifecycle. The role sits within a technical team responsible for high-volume product development and ongoing product improvement.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support product development from concept through to commercial launch
  • Design and execute prototype testing for performance and durability validation
  • Review compliance requirements and testing standards
  • Produce technical reports, documentation, and product specifications
  • Conduct product inspections and quality checks
  • Support root cause analysis and non-conformance reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of technical systems and processes
  • Maintain calibration records and support quality assurance activity
  • Provide technical input to other departments
  • Support product training, documentation, and customer-facing teams
