A well-established international manufacturer of precision-engineered components for tolerance-critical applications is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its team. Operating globally, the business supplies into demanding sectors and is recognised for delivering high-quality products within fast lead times, supported by a strong customer-focused approach.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring both mechanical and electrical compliance across the site. This includes installation work, planned preventative maintenance, and responding effectively to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely at all times, adhering to site procedures and completing risk assessments prior to tasks
  • Maintain full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Diagnose and respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns efficiently
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Undertake electrical installation work where required
  • Utilise systems and data to manage plant control and electrical systems
  • Liaise with and support the coordination of third-party contractors
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders at all levels

Skills & Experience

  • Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance
  • Multi-skilled with strong mechanical fault-finding capability
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of PLCs and plant control systems (advantageous)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate with a proactive and enthusiastic approach
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
