Stafforce are delighted to be working with a national environmental business in their location of Southampton, Hampshire. We are currently looking for a skilled mechanical fitter to undertake routine and reactive maintenance.
What the Mechanical Fitter will involve:
- Diagnosis and resolution of breakdowns
- Documentation of all machinery records on site and report writing
- Regular maintenance of heavy mobile plant
- Respond rapidly to breakdowns
What will you bring to the role of Mechanical Fitter?
- NVQ Level 3 qualified in a relevant mechanical field
- Able to strip down and rebuild mechanical components
- Experience with hydraulics
- A background of working with diesel engines
- The ability to operate basic workshop machinery
- Relevant engineering qualifications desirable
- Ability to diagnose components
What you'll receive:
- A salary range circa £40,000 - £50,000 pa
- Onsite parking
- A shift pattern consisting of 7.45 - 17:00 - Weekend and night shift rota with advanced notice
