Overview:

We now require a Technical Product Manager for our machinery focused client to lead the Technical Team in developing and launching new products to market, maintain technical documentation, understand and resolve quality assurance issues and ensure that product conformity documentation is accurate and up to date.

Key responsibilities of the Technical Product Manager role:

  • Lead the Technical Team in all aspects of New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD)
  • Drive continuous product quality improvement by analysing product performance, factory quality data and customer feedback.
  • Product testing, technical documentation and compliance
  • Monitor changes to relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice.
  • Supplier and factory quality improvement initiatives
  • Root cause analysis and corrective actions relating to product and warranty issues
  • Cross-functional technical support across service and customer support teams

The ideal candidate may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Proven technical management or senior technical engineering experience - machine building, assembly and testing, mechanical and electrical testing.
  • Strong understanding of product compliance and conformity documentation
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers/factories
  • Quality assurance and continuous improvement experience
  • Ability to manage and develop a technical/engineering team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience within an electro-mechanical, consumer products, engineering, industrial or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
