We are currently recruiting for an experienced and commercially minded Technical Manager to join our client on a permanent and full-time basis based on the outskirts of Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Salary: Circa £45-50,000 per annum depending on experience
Working hours: Monday to Friday and office based.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Technical Team in all aspects of New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD)
- Drive continuous product quality improvement by analysing product performance, factory quality data and customer feedback.
- Product testing, technical documentation and compliance
- Monitor changes to relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice.
- Supplier and factory quality improvement initiatives
- Root cause analysis and corrective actions relating to product and warranty issues
- Cross-functional technical support across service and customer support teams
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven technical management or senior technical engineering experience
- Strong understanding of product compliance and conformity documentation
- Experience working with overseas suppliers/factories
- Quality assurance and continuous improvement experience
- Ability to manage and develop a technical team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience within an electro-mechanical, consumer products, engineering, industrial or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
The role will involve occasional UK and overseas travel to suppliers, factories and trade shows. The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded technical professional with a strong background in product development, product compliance, quality assurance and supplier management within a manufacturing and/or imported products environment.
