The Role
Are you looking for a stable role in a fast-growing industry? We are seeking a Packing Operative. Working as part of a dedicated operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring our high-quality products are packed and palletized safely and efficiently. What You’ll Be Doing
- Production Line Operation: Running a busy packing line, including managing product feed and bagging.
- Quality Assurance: Carrying out essential technical checks to ensure every bag meets our "Right First Time" standard.
- Technical Setup: Adjusting line settings and parameters to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum waste.
- Inventory Control: Using the site stock system (CEMEX) to record finished products and Work in Progress (WIP).
- Palletization & Logistics: Safely palletizing finished products and using an FLT to transfer them to the warehouse.
- Waste Management: Capturing and segregating waste for rework to help keep costs low and the site sustainable.
What We’re Looking For
- Background: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (Food, Pet Food, or FMCG is highly preferred).
- Licenses: A valid FLT license is a distinct advantage.
- Standards: Knowledge of Food Safety Level 2 and awareness of BRC standards.
- Safety First: A strong commitment to Health & Safety (IOSH Working Safely is a plus).
- Attitude: A "can-do" approach, honesty, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Reliability: Someone who is open to change and eager to learn new skills.
