We're recruiting an Estimator / Project Coordinator to join our well established and respected client on a full time, permanent basis in Leicester (LE19). Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum (depending on experience). Benefits: pension scheme, onsite parking, generous holiday package, career development opportunities.

The Role:

As an Estimator / Project Coordinator, you will be detail-oriented and commercially aware to prepare accurate quotations and cost estimates for our clients' building supply products. The successful candidate will analyse customer requirements, review drawings and specifications, calculate material quantities, and provide competitive pricing while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate estimates and quotations.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and customer requirements.
  • Calculate material quantities, labour requirements, and project costs.
  • Liaise with customers, contractors, architects, surveyors, and internal sales teams to clarify project details.
  • Source pricing from suppliers and maintain up-to-date product cost information.
  • Prepare tender submissions and quotation packages within required deadlines.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
  • Follow up quotations and assist with converting opportunities into sales orders.
  • Maintain estimation records, pricing schedules, and project documentation.
  • Monitor market pricing trends and competitor activity.
  • Support project handovers to operations and customer service teams.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in estimating, sales estimating, or quantity surveying.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
