We are currently seeking a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients established Maintenance team. This role involves carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance across all site equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out statutory, planned, and preventative maintenance on plant and equipment
- Respond promptly to plant breakdowns and production issues
- Diagnose faults and undertake effective repairs to minimise downtime
- Complete plant repairs and rebuilds as required
- Manufacture replacement parts when necessary (lathe/milling experience preferred)
- Support the installation of new plant and equipment in line with design specifications
- Operate portable plant and power tools safely and correctly
- Undertake welding and fabrication tasks
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation using the company CMMS system
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, following company procedures at all times
- Participate in additional training and development as required
- Demonstrate flexibility, including overtime working when required
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role as a Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter / Technician
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Good IT literacy, particularly for maintenance documentation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications (Preferred but Not Essential)
- Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Electrically competent, with 18th Edition
- Experience with CAD / SolidWorks
- Experience with automation and robotics
