Port Administrator – 3 month+ rolling contract

Salary: £15.07 per hour (176 hours per month guaranteed).

Location: Immingham Dock.

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12‑hour shifts, days and nights.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Working as a Port Administrator at Immingham docks within a team to ensure the smooth administration of freight imports and exports with the Humber port.
  • Ensuring compliance in all documentation for freight.
  • Using Microsoft Office and Destin8.
  • Delivering excellent customer service to all port users.
  • Liaising with clients and shipping agents to ensure the timely delivery of cargo.

Qualifications:

  • A successful Port Administrator will thrive in a busy environment and have excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working within the Ports and shipping sector is highly desirable; other similar sectors such as logistics, warehousing, rail or freight will be considered.
  • Previous experience using Destin8 is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience using SAP systems is highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of customs documentation procedures is desirable but not essential.
  • Team player with a flexible approach to work.
  • Keen to learn new skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role such as Import Administrator, Export Coordinator, Port Administrator, Shipping Agent, Transport Coordinator, Freight Administrator or Warehouse Administrator is highly desirable.
