Stafforce are currently seeking reliable and adaptable General Operatives to join our clients team based in Barnsley. This role involves operating a variety of machinery, including sewing machines, alongside supporting general production duties. It is ideal for someone hands-on, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating machinery, including sewing machines, safely and efficiently
- Carrying out a range of general production and operational duties as required
- Assisting with the setup and running of machines
- Performing basic quality checks on finished products
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not essential
- Comfortable working with machinery or willing to be trained
- Good attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality work
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, flexible, and a good team player

- Full UK driving licence
- FLT (Forklift Truck) experience or licence
