General Engineering Labourer Location: Mexborough, South Yorkshire Pay rate: Β£12.21 Join our team and build a rewarding career in engineering. Our client is seeking a dependable and adaptable General Engineering Labourer to join our dynamic production team. This is a hands-on role offering full training and career development in a supportive, team-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Engineering Support: Assist machinists, welders, and engineers with fabrication and assembly tasks Operate basic workshop machinery and tools (e.g., chop saws, grinders, drills) Work within our paint spraying booth to assist with finishing tasksGeneral Labour: Safely handle and store materials around the site Perform general housekeeping and light gardening duties Use the company car for collecting and delivering parts, tools, or materialsHealth & Safety: Follow all site safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE Assist with maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition Requirements Experience: Some prior labouring or production experience is essential; experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting is a plus Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn Strong organisational and multitasking ability A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Other: Full UK driving licence (essential) Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities Desirable (Training Provided if Needed) Experience with forklift and/or crane operation Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and gardening tools What We Offer Full training provided (including forklift and crane certification) Opportunities for internal progression and career development A friendly and collaborative working environment The chance to work on innovative projects supporting the steel industryApply today and be part of an established company where your work truly makes a difference.
