We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and hardworking FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy operation based in Grimsby. This is a great opportunity to work within a well‑established environment, supporting daily warehouse and hygiene operations. Please note, this role is within a fish processing setting, handling fish‑by‑products, so there is a strong smell.

Shift Pattern / Working Hours

This role operates on a primary shift pattern: Flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work:

  • Monday – Friday: 6.00am till 2.00pm during busy periods or holidays

The FLT Counterbalance Driver role is available to start immediately following an interview. This is a temporary position until September, with the potential to be extended.

Job Description

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
  • Loading, unloading, and moving stock across site
  • Supporting general warehouse operations
  • Carrying out hygiene cleaning duties and housekeeping
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Assisting with site cleanliness due to the nature of the products handled

The Successful Candidate

To be considered for the FLT Counterbalance Driver role, you must have:

  • A valid FLT Counterbalance Licence
  • Previous experience operating FLT in a busy environment
  • Willingness to carry out hygiene/ cleaning duties
  • Flexibility with working hours when required
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
