Stafforce Recruitment are currently supporting the hire of an experienced Transport Manager for a leading UK manufacturing and distribution business. You will take full responsibility for managing an in-house transport operation, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day in-house transport operations
- Ensure full compliance with O Licence and transport legislation
- Lead and support a team of drivers and transport staff
- Plan routes and optimise fleet efficiency
- Monitor KPIs including cost, performance, and service levels
- Oversee driver compliance, training, and tachograph rules
- Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- Proven in-house Transport Manager experience (essential)
- Valid CPC qualification (essential)
- Strong knowledge of UK transport compliance and regulations
- Experience managing fleets and driver teams
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
