Skilled MIG Welder

Location: Doncaster, DN12

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week, with overtime available

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Stafforce are currently recruiting for a Skilled MIG Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Doncaster (DN12). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder/fabricator looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • Friday: 5:00am - 1:30pm
  • 40 hours per week
  • Overtime opportunities available

Key Responsibilities

  • MIG weld products in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare and machine materials prior to welding.
  • Carry out fitting, assembly and fabrication work as required.
  • Manufacture products to a high standard and within tight tolerances.
  • Weld pipework confidently and accurately.
  • Maintain traceability and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Produce welds capable of meeting radiographic inspection standards in accordance with EN1090.
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
  • Contribute positively to continuous improvement initiatives and team culture.
  • Adhere to all quality procedures, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support business operations.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous fabrication experience is essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Minimum of 2 years' MIG welding experience preferred.
  • Experience welding pipework would be advantageous.
  • TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Recognised welding qualifications or weld coding certifications are preferred.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes is advantageous.
  • Forklift Truck experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a quality-controlled manufacturing environment.
