We are recruiting for a Technical Internal Sales Executive on a full-time and permanent basis working with our client based in Daventry.

Salary: Competitive dependent on experience

The Role:

As a Technical Internal Sales Executive, you will be part of a busy office-based sales team, handling customer enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and supporting customers from initial enquiry through to delivery. Over time, you will build strong product knowledge and take on more responsibility for helping customers identify, source and specify suitable products for their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound customer enquiries by phone, email and live chat in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and follow up with customers to progress opportunities.
  • Process customer orders accurately and monitor them through to delivery.
  • Develop detailed product knowledge across consumables, ancillaries and related technical equipment.
  • Work with purchasing and technical colleagues to source products and identify suitable solutions for customer projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of customers, quotations and orders using Microsoft Business Central.
  • Build trusted customer relationships by understanding requirements and recommending appropriate products.
  • Support the wider sales and technical team on larger, more complex or bespoke enquiries.

About You:

You have a confident telephone manner and communicate clearly in writing. You are comfortable working with pricing, quotations and order information. You are organised, accurate and able to manage multiple enquiries at the same time. You may have experience in internal sales, customer service, sales administration, order processing or a similar customer-facing role. An interest in engineering, manufacturing, plastics or technical products would be helpful, but is not essential.
