Our client a leading company in the advanced metal fabrication sector is seeking a driven and experienced Regional Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a field based, territory management role, focused on driving sales and building long term client relationships. You will be promoting the capabilities of the company’s industry leading laser cutting technology, helping to expand its market presence and exceed ambitious growth targets. If you have a passion for sales, technical solutions, and business development, this role offers exciting opportunities for success. Location: Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton (Field Based) Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, plus competitive bonus Position Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities: Sales & Promotion: Lead the sales efforts by promoting the company’s high power laser cutting technology. Customer Focus: Deliver exceptional solutions that meet client needs, ensuring the highest standards of quality and service. Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets by identifying market needs and aligning the company’s offerings to customer requirements. Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in your designated territory, contributing to long-term growth and success. Relationship Building: Build and nurture strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and delivering customised solutions. Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to ensure seamless delivery of customer requirements and solutions. Presentations & Proposals: Develop and present persuasive proposals and presentations to demonstrate the benefits of the company’s laser cutting technology. Market Insight: Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to position the company’s services effectively. Territory Management: Take full ownership of your sales area, developing and executing strategies to drive results and growth. Value Addition: Identify additional opportunities for services and processes that can add value to customers and increase profitability.Required Skills & Attributes: Industry Experience: Experience in materials processing or metal fabrication, particularly in selling laser cutting services to OEMs or Tier 1 companies. Analytical & Strategic: Able to analyse market data, spot growth opportunities, and create targeted sales strategies. Self-Starter: Comfortable working independently and managing your territory with autonomy. Client Facing Confidence: Skilled at presenting complex technical solutions to clients and demonstrating expertise. Proven Sales Record: A “sales hunter” with a strong track record of developing new business and meeting or exceeding sales targets. Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly with clients and internal teams.
