The predicted salary is between 32500 - 32500 Β£ per year.
We are currently recruiting for a Machinist to work with our client based in Burton on Trent on a full-time and permanent basis.
Salary: Β£30-35K per annum depending on experience
Working hours: 8am until 4:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (In addition to these hours, you will be expected to work a reasonable amount of paid overtime when required)
About the role:
To support in workshop repairs to ensure that customer deadlines are met. Helping to support the growth of workload in workshop.
Responsibilities:
- To carry out machining work
- Spray painting (desirable - training will be provided)
- Pipe-fitting / welding (advantageous but not necessary)
- Ensuring job / site specific H&S Rules are followed
- Will be expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required
- Take charge of own work and manage accordingly to ensure jobs are carried out in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the workshop is kept in order regarding tidying and stock levels
- To undertake other tasks as directed in support of the Company.
About you:
- Recognised Apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline
- Good knowledge and experience in machining / working on the lathe
- Hand fitting and Machining skills
- Computer literate
- Good knowledge of the English language, both oral and written
- Good knowledge of basic H&S regarding working with heavy machinery and Hydraulics
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, technical abilities to read & interpret drawings
