We are currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers (Mechanical & Electrical) to join a well-established, global manufacturing business operating within a demanding industrial environment.
The Role
You will support the Maintenance function by ensuring both mechanical and electrical systems are maintained to a high standard. This includes planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response, and supporting ongoing site improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Support installation and commissioning of equipment
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and complete risk assessments
- Work with control systems and assist with plant monitoring systems
- Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently and safely
Requirements
- Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Multi-skilled capability (mechanical & electrical fault finding)
- Experience in a heavy or industrial manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of PLCs / control systems (advantageous)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team
- Good communication and basic IT skills
Shift Pattern
Initially 2-shift (Days & Backs), moving to a 3-shift pattern.
