We are looking to recruit an experienced Heavy Engineering Fitter to repair, service and install both new and used balers, crushers, conveyors and shears at customer sites across the UK.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Repair, service and install balers, crushers, conveyors and shears.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven experience in heavy engineering or a similar mechanical fitting role.
- A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home when required.
- Ability to complete and maintain accurate documentation and service records in a timely manner.
- Strong commitment to following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Working away from home and weekend work are essential when required.
- Provide breakdown support throughout the UK, responding to emergency call‑outs at short notice.
Working conditions: A 40+ hour per week role, with overtime paid at time and a half on Saturdays and double time on Sundays.
Salary: £17.50 to £19.50 per hour, depending on experience.
A work phone and company van will be provided after a satisfactory probation period.
