We are currently looking for a Administration and Facilities Officer to support our clients busy centre in Blackwood, providing high-quality administration, reception and facilities support. The role includes keeping the centre clean, safe and ready for use, while supporting the day-to-day administration of the business.

Main areas of Responsibility

  • Provide administration, reception and customer service support.
  • Open and close the centre in line with booking requirements.
  • Prepare rooms, furniture and equipment for bookings, including some cleaning and manual handling.
  • Keep the building clean, tidy, safe and fully stocked.
  • Carry out routine facilities tasks such as checks, meter readings, ordering supplies and arranging contractors.
  • Complete general office tasks including filing, scanning, post, meeting schedules and database updates.
  • Use Microsoft Office and support website or social media updates.
  • Support the Green Dragon Environmental Standard programme manager with administration, marketing and customer service.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the line manager or senior management team.

Experience and Qualifications

  • We are looking for someone who is professional, organised and approachable, and who can demonstrate the following:
  • Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Confident, motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Able to work calmly under pressure.
  • Well organised, thorough and methodical.
  • Professional and calm when dealing with customers.
  • Reliable with a strong attendance record.
  • Able to manage a varied workload effectively.

GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths; an office-based qualification or relevant experience; excellent telephone and customer service skills; a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work. Excellent written and verbal communication, strong teamwork, and good computer skills including Microsoft Office. Knowledge of sustainable development and safe working practices.

37 hours per week. Usual hours are 9.00am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to meet business needs, including early mornings and evenings. Regular flexibility is required to support bookings outside normal office hours.
