We're on the lookout for a motivated metal processor to join a dynamic team! Training will be provided, but experience with Special/Exotic Scrap or Revert Metals is a bonus.
What You'll Do:
- Process, sort, grade, and out-turn incoming materials.
- Identify and report any special metal contamination (foreign attachments, coatings, inserts, repair welds - training provided).
- Understand and segregate materials according to quality and end-use markets.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including shears, guillotines, bandsaws, shot blasters, shredders, and chemical cleaning of turnings.
- Work shifts, including nights (with shift premiums).
- Report to the Production Manager.
- Use strong organisational, written, and IT skills in day-to-day tasks.
What We're Looking For:
- Ideally 3 GCSEs at grade C or above.
- Metallurgical/Materials qualification is a plus but not essential.
- Experience in the sector is preferred to ensure safe working practices.
