General Operative (Machine Operator) 📍 Barnsley - S72 💷 £12.71 per hour 🕗 Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:00pm Role Overview Stafforce are currently seeking reliable and adaptable General Operatives to join our clients team based in Barnsley. This role involves operating a variety of machinery, including sewing machines, alongside supporting general production duties. It is ideal for someone hands-on, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities Operating machinery, including sewing machines, safely and efficiently Carrying out a range of general production and operational duties as required Assisting with the setup and running of machines Performing basic quality checks on finished products Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not essential Comfortable working with machinery or willing to be trained Good attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality work Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable, flexible, and a good team player Desirable (Not Essential) Full UK driving licence FLT (Forklift Truck) experience or licence Willingness to undertake training, including FLT if required Full training provided, including machine operation Opportunity to develop new skills and gain certifications Supportive and team-focused working environmentAbout Us We are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
