We are recruiting experienced Flux Core Welders for a leading heavy engineering and manufacturing site based in Annan.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering long-term, full-time work within a busy production environment.

The Role

As a Flux Core Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality welding work on a variety of large-scale fabrications and components.

Candidates should be comfortable working to engineering drawings and adhering to strict quality standards.

To be considered for this role, you should have experience with

  • Welding T-joints, including root runs and backing fillets.
  • Working with larger fillet welds of up to 25mm.
  • Welding on pipes, nozzles, and tube assemblies.
  • Producing high-quality welds in a heavy fabrication or industrial environment.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

The following experience would be advantageous but is not essential

  • Working with ceramic backing systems/ceramic tiles.
  • Experience replacing traditional root welding methods with ceramic-backed processes.
  • Multi-process welding experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven welding experience within heavy engineering, fabrication, shipbuilding, structural steel, pressure vessels, or similar industries.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious approach.
