My client is looking for Laboratory Technicians to join their current team and to be successful in this position you will require the following experience:
- Assist Laboratory Supervisor to ensure work meets health and safety requirements, is done on time and to required quality standards
- Deputise for the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure work continues to be carried out to a high standard
- Ensure all work is done to correct quality standards, completed on time and without error, and with the minimum of supervision and monitoring
- Learn new work techniques, formulations, processes and train others
- Maintain accurate records for stock control, QC testing and production monitoring purposes
- Carry out other production duties in different departments as required
- Identify new methods of working and improve working practices in collaboration with other team members and production management
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, ensuring that work areas are kept clean and tidy, and glassware is washed and put away
- Understand and adhere to performance and quality standards, making sure that all work is done to meet customer needs
- All work is to be carried out accurately to avoid errors, with careful following of work and sales order requirements
- Take responsibility for good work standards, anticipate problems and take the initiative to prevent problems from occurring with quality and efficiency, alerting others and management to ensure action is taken
