Stafforce Ports are recruiting for Rigger/Lasher Port Operatives to work for our prestigious client based at Tilbury Docks.
Responsibilities:
- Working on vessels/ships supporting the loading and unloading of containers.
- Responsible for working in a team environment chaining and unchaining containers to the ship to secure in transit.
- Working as a banksman, responsible for the direction of tug drivers on ship and safety positioning of the team.
- Inspect tools and equipment and report any damages.
- Adhere to safety protocols and processes and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Skills:
- Previous port experience a benefit but not essential as full training will be given.
- Able to pass port specific tests such as drug and alcohol testing.
- Having a full UK Driving Licence and your own transport is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work in an industrial high focused safety critical work area, and perform physical tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy whilst onboard ship.
Pay: £13.30 - £20.40 per hour plus potential £1.50 per hour Attendance Bonus.
Schedule: Split shift operation, Day shift, Flexitime, 7 Day a week operation, Expected hours 35 to 40 per week.
Supplemental pay types: Bonus scheme, Welfare Support via our App, Well-being Support via our App.
Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred but not essential).
