We are currently recruiting a skilled and proactive Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience gained within a heavy industrial environment. You will support the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring full electrical and mechanical compliance across the site. This is a hands-on role involving installations, maintenance, fault-finding and ensuring both planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.
The role operates on a 2-shift rotation: 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Work safely at all times in line with company safety standards and procedures, completing full risk assessments before undertaking any task.
- Ensure all electrical and mechanical compliance requirements are maintained.
- Respond to breakdowns and faults in a timely, logical and effective manner.
- Carry out planned, preventive and reactive maintenance activities.
- Undertake electrical installation work as required.
- Use appropriate systems and data to manage electrical and control systems.
- Liaise with and support the management of third-party contractors.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the business.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
- Proven mechanical and electrical maintenance experience within a heavy industrial environment.
- Knowledge of plant control systems, PLCs and automation (preferred).
- Strong mechanical fault-finding ability.
- Enthusiastic, proactive and computer literate.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
