Machine and Hygiene Operative Are you looking for a well-paid, long term opportunity with excellent benefits and genuine earning potential? We are currently recruiting for a Machine and Hygiene Operative to join a busy manufacturing operation. This is a hands on role that would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, high safety standards and is happy to get involved in all aspects of site operations. Salary: £43,600 per annum Shifts: 3pm -11pm / 7am -3pm / 11pm - 7am The Role As a Machine and Hygiene Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the production facility, ensuring machinery and work areas are kept clean, safe and operational. A significant part of the role involves cleaning down machinery and maintaining housekeeping standards across the factory, alongside supporting production and loading activities. Key Responsibilities Operating and monitoring machinery safely and efficiently. Carrying out extensive cleaning of machinery and factory areas. Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards throughout the site. Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift truck. Completing weighbridge discharges and loads. Recording and inputting operational data onto company systems. Performing routine inspections and reporting any faults or issues. Following health and safety procedures at all times. Supporting various areas of the operation as required. What We Are Looking For ✅ Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment ✅ Forklift Truck experience (essential) ✅ Basic IT literacy and confidence inputting data onto systems ✅ Full driving licence and access to transport ✅ Flexible approach to shift patterns and overtime ✅ Strong work ethic and willingness to undertake cleaning and housekeeping duties ✅ Reliable and safety-conscious attitude Working Hours & Overtime Shift-based role Must be flexible with working hours All breaks are fully paid Overtime Opportunities Saturday overtime paid at Time & a Half Sunday overtime paid at Double Time Overtime available on a regular basis and is part of the role Required overtime rota: Every 3rd weekend: Saturday shift (minimum 5 hours, typically 7:00am to 1:00pm) Every 6th weekend: Saturday and Sunday working Benefits Company pension: 5% employer contribution initially. Matched up to 8% after one year of service £180 attendance bonus every 6 months for 100% attendance 12-month gym membership BUPA private healthcare Additional week's pay each year (paid as 53 weeks rather than 52) Excellent overtime earning potential Permanent position with long-term stability This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operative looking for a secure role with strong earnings, outstanding benefits and a business that rewards commitment and attendance.
