We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shovel Driver to join a busy and well-established operation in Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Loading Shovel Operator looking for stable work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of materials across the site, ensuring operational targets are met while maintaining high health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operating a Loading Shovel safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading materials
- Moving bulk materials around the site
- Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Reporting any defects or maintenance issues
- Adhering to all site health and safety procedures
- Supporting other operational duties when required
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Previous experience as a Shovel Driver, Loading Shovel Operator, Plant Operator, or similar role
- Valid Loading Shovel Licence (CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Flexible approach to work and shift patterns
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Experience within recycling, aggregates, waste management, ports, manufacturing, or construction environments
- Additional plant machinery tickets would be advantageous
