Location: Billingham, Hartlepool

Pay Rate: £13.96 - £14.84 per hour (first 40 hours worked)

Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off Rotating Shifts

Hours: Early Shift 06:00 - 14:00 | Late Shift 14:00 - 22:00

About the Role

We are currently recruiting experienced Counterbalance FLT Operators to join a leading port and logistics operation. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with proven FLT and warehouse experience who are looking for a stable role within a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time operating Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck equipment and 20% supporting warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Counterbalance FLT equipment in line with site procedures and Health & Safety standards.
  • Load and unload vehicles accurately and efficiently.
  • Transport materials and products throughout warehouse and storage areas.
  • Support goods-in and goods-out processes.
  • Carry out routine FLT and equipment inspections, reporting defects as required.
  • Complete stock movements and walk replenishment activities.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock accuracy.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across operational areas.
  • Support wider warehouse and logistics activities as required.
  • Work collaboratively to meet operational targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid external Counterbalance FLT Licence.
  • Previous Counterbalance FLT operating experience and Flexi.
  • Experience working within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and best practice.
  • Reliable, flexible and committed approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work the required rotating shift pattern.

Desirable Requirements

  • Flexi FLT experience (essential Hartlepool based roles).
  • Previous experience within logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing operations.
