We are currently recruiting for a Labourer to join a busy fabrication and manufacturing site in Billingham. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable candidates looking for an immediate start with ongoing work and the potential for long-term opportunities.
Shift Pattern & Pay Rates
- 6:00am - 2:00pm: £15.71 per hour
- 2:00pm - 10:00pm: £16.93 per hour
- 10:00pm - 6:00am: £17.60 per hour (includes shift premium)
Key Responsibilities
- Dressing and finishing metal components to the required quality standards
- Grinding, fettling, and smoothing metal castings
- Safely operating hand and power tools
- Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality specifications
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in metal dressing, fettling, grinding, or a similar manufacturing role
- Experience within a heavy engineering, fabrication, or foundry environment is desirable
- Ability to work a rotating 3-shift pattern (days, afternoons, and nights)
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Reliable, hardworking, and available to start immediately
