Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Picker for one of the largest providers of fresh flowers to major supermarket chains throughout the UK. Staffline is recruiting for Warehouse Pickers to work in Alconbury. Transport is available from Peterborough. The rates of pay are: – Day Shift £12.49 per hour – Night shift £15.61 per hour Overtime is available after working 48 hours and paid at : – Day shift £15.61 per hour – Night shift £19.52 per hour As a Dispatch Picker you will be required to work on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern with additional overtime days offered but not expected. The shifts for this position are: – Days, 7am to7pm – Nights, 7pm to 7am As a Line Supply Picker, you will be required to work on a 4 on, 3 off, 3 on 4 off shift pattern with additional overtime days offered but not expected. The shifts for this position are: – Days, 6am to 6pm – Nights, 6pm to 6am Please note, that this is subject to change to cover and meet business requirements. Your Time at Work As a Warehouse Picker at this site, you will be: – Working in a chilled environment, approx 3 degrees – Responsible for allocating stock into stock locations – Responsible for the moving and transfer of stock to other departments and re-allocating finished goods This role will include the use of handheld scanning equipment. You will need to be happy with chilled environments and working on your feet for 12 hours per day. Some manual handling may be required of weights up to 20kg. Our Perfect Worker Our ideal Picker will need to be able to communicate and understand basic English, be hard-working and have a good level of detail and focus to ensure mistakes are kept to a minimum. Experience in a similar role as a Picker/Warehouse Operative is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
