Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client\’s British furniture retailer, offering a wide range of furniture: sofas, beds, dining, cabinets, accessories, including well-known and premium brands! Staffline is recruiting Warehouse Operatives to work Days in Bedford. The rate of pay is £13.60 per hour. This is a full-time role working rotating shifts, any 5 days out of 7, and the hours of work are: – 8am to 5pm, Wednesday – Saturday as a trial, 1st 4 weeks – After passing trial 6am to 3pm + 2pm to 11pm Your Time at Work As a Warehouse Operative your duties include: – Loading and unloading containers safely and efficiently, following manual handling guidelines. – Moving, lifting, and handling furniture items, ensuring all stock is treated with care to prevent damage. – Checking incoming and outgoing goods against delivery notes and report discrepancies. – Preparing stock for storage or dispatch, including wrapping, labelling, and staging products. – Operating warehouse equipment (pump trucks, pallet trucks, etc.) safely and responsibly. – Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment, including disposal of packaging. – Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets. – Following all health & safety procedures, including safe lifting techniques. – Supporting other warehouse tasks as required by the supervisor. Our Perfect Worker Our perfect worker will be physically fit, as heavy lifting is involved as part of manual handling training. Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential, as full training is provided.
