Support Worker (Day Opportunities Service) Holywood | £13.45 p/h |40 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday | 9:00am - 5:00pm | Permanent Make a Difference Every Day We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established charitable organisation that provides high-quality support services for adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs. The Role As a Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred support within a day opportunities service, helping adults engage in meaningful activities, develop life skills and work towards personal goals. You will play a key role in promoting wellbeing, independence and social inclusion while working as part of a supportive and dedicated team. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality person-centred support. Encourage independence and personal development. Support individuals to participate in activities and community engagement opportunities. Build positive, professional relationships with service users. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Promote safeguarding, dignity and respect at all times. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals. Support a range of indoor and outdoor activities where required. Essential Criteria NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (or equivalent) OR a minimum of 12 months' relevant experience. At least 6 months' experience in a caring, support or educational environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Caring, dependable and person-centred approach. NISCC registered or willing to register. Desirable Criteria Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities. Experience managing behaviours that challenge. Interest in community-based activities, gardening or outdoor projects. Previous experience within a day opportunities or community support setting.
