The Security Delivery manager – SCR Manager is a key operations role reporting to the Security Operation Lead. It is key to the success of our security operation and site emergency response and emergency preparedness. The main focus of the role is responsibility for the operational delivery and leadership of the Security Control Room (SCR). Ensuring that all security and safety systems within the control room are monitored in an efficient manner ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, DPA/GDPR legislation, ICO guidance and the CCTV Code of Practice. The successful candidate will also act as the CCTV data manager to SZC. This role will act as the Security representative to the site Emergency Preparedness (EP) Team, Site Operations Incident Manager and other on site & off site response capabilities and build a robust collaboration and working relationships. Your Time at Work Pay Upper Bracket Β£50,000 pending experience and qualification Weekly Hours 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, normal office hours with some flexibility due to operational requirements. Our Perfect Worker Responsibilities: – Lead with the delivery of all Health & Safety procedures as set by our client and G4S. – Lead on delivering a best in class \’Operations Room\’ environment for our Sizewell C Security and Emergency Arrangements Operations, including continuous development. – Liaise and work closely with their pier at the sister project at Hinkley Point C. – Effectively manage the function of the control room and all control room security and life safety systems in accordance with policy and procedure. – Line management of the control room team to ensure the efficient working of the control room. Ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, current legislation and codes of practice. Including performance reviews, meetings, task and time management, training and recruitment where required. – Manage and maintain SCR Competency Cards. – Write, update and distribute appropriate policies and procedures and set clear direction as required by the nature of operations and in collaboration with the operational management team and our client. – Administration of all staffing matters for the control room. Including the preparation of the monthly shift rota, ensuring sufficient coverage during periods of sickness and annual leave with the shift Operations Support Coordinator. – Ensure that the control room and all equipment is maintained satisfactorily always by liaising with the security infrastructure provider, ensuring that faults are remedied within agreed timescales and service delivery is not impacted. – Ensure the accurate recording of all events and actions monitored from within the control room, including the maintenance of daily logs utilising G4S software applications. – Understand and follow the requirements of legislation that govern CCTV operations to maintain the security and integrity of the Sizewell C construction site. – Manage and implement the movement of mobile CCTV assets and fixed CCTV in line with Operational Requirement (OR). – Ensure that information is stored securely under the Data Protection regulations and maintain the security of the control room environment. – Be the Champion of Radio communications and enforce 3 way communications, correct voice procedure, brevity, correct use of radio, call prioritisation and external users. – Work hand in hand with Site operation Incident manager and EP team to ensure success in live incidents. – Play a critical and crucial role in leading the coordination of the control room\’s actions to site emergency incidents ensuring the correct responses are given, resources are keyed up and appropriately deployed and all notifications are made. – Maintain and develop effective working relationships with the on and off site response functions. – Demonstrate and enforce decision making procedures in the SCR, ensuring decision logs are currently used and kept. – Correctly manage/support and instigate escalation of any off or on-site incident or event. Skills and Competencies The SCR and Incident Response Manager must have: – Excellent written skills. – Attention to detail when producing written reports and documents. – Excellent Communication skills. – Ability to interact with their team, incident stakeholders internal and external. – Ability to confidently deliver briefings/presentations to the security team. – Strong interpersonal skills – building trust and support – Strong management and leadership skills together with excellent communication, influencing, negotiating and engagement skills – Good IT skills. – Strong Leadership. – Strong planning and organisational skills. – Excellent IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, Google applications. – Experience of emergency preparedness including JESIP. – Experience of planning and delivering complex training exercises. – Sound judgement and decision making, with a \’hands on\’, problem solving approach, able to remain calm under pressure and take control of incidents. – Innovative in approach, supportive and adaptable to change The SCR and Incident Response Manager must be able to: – Manage an Operations Support Team with multiple functions. – Operate in a diverse and challenging environment. – Adopt an innovative approach. – Remain customer focussed for the benefit of the project. – Manage multiple concurrent activities and adapt to a changing environment. – Demonstrable experience of managing a control room. – Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, policies and best working practices. Profile Educational Requirements/Qualifications – A good standard of education in Maths, English and IT. Minimum Requirements – SIA CCTV Licence – SIA SG or DS – Ability to hold National Security Clearance Preferred Experience – Previous experience of operating within a busy control/operations room – Nationally recognised Control Room Management qualification. – Emergency Planning certification – A security professional with prior experience gained in a corporate, Critical National Infrastructure, Police or Military environment – Experience of leading and supervising teams in a demanding environment – Enthusiastic and committed approach with a track record of building strong, trust based relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels – Experience of training and mentoring – Proven experience in a high tempo, operational theatre in a pressurised role – Good IT skills with a working knowledge of MS Office and Google packages Personal Qualities – Highest levels of integrity, respectfulness and professionalism required at all times. – Open, trusting and in the spirit of mutual support, especially when dealing with conflicts of interest. – An engaging and proactive \’can do\’ attitude where successes and failures are shared. – Doing what we say we are going to do and only committing to what can be done. – Listen and communicate effectively. – Ability to plan ahead as far as possible and share intelligence to prevent surprises.
