Key Details
- Consolidated pay rates (paid weekly): The rate of pay is £16.06 – £21.41 per hour.
- Shifts: AM & PM, with start times between 10:00 and 23:59.
- Location: Portsmouth.
Responsibilities
- Fridge work collecting from food producers (farms) and delivering to most major supermarket RDCs.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Following all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Valid HGV 1 / C+E Licence, DCPC & Tacho cards.
- Minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
- No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
- Ability to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and report defects correctly.
- Ability to comply with driver’s hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
