We are seeking a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to support a global FMCG manufacturing leader. The role offers a competitive package and opportunities for career development across a diverse site network.
Salary Package: £56,500 + £5k signing bonus plus bonus, pension and overtime – £70k total package
Job Type: Permanent
Electrical or mechanical bias – must be dually skilled
Location: Shropshire area – nearest cities Telford and Birmingham, commutable from Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Church Stretton, Bishops Castle, Hereford, Oswestry, Welshpool, etc.
Recruitment drive due to site automation, expansion and £MM CAPEX investment
Working pattern: 4 ON / 4 OFF – great shift pattern to assist with relocation if needed
Contract Type: Permanent
Are you a dual-qualified maintenance engineer with experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines?
- To service, adjust and repair machinery and equipment safely and properly
- To examine machinery and equipment, report on condition, performance and action plans for improvements
- Carry out planned and preventive maintenance according to agreed schedules
- Share ideas for mini projects to improve plant performance, including machinery modifications
Qualifications:
- Multi-skilled Engineering Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance, or similar
- Manufacturing HND or HNC Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Equivalent qualifications with a manufacturing background preferred
Experience in FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, or chemicals highly welcome
Full £4,000 training for a multi-skilled engineer as applicable
5% bonus annually
£5k signing-on bonus
Overtime at 1.5x rate
£8k relocation package
Flexible benefits
Death in service benefit
Candidates who are currently a Multi-skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Packaging Engineer, or any equivalent background will be suitable for the role.
