Great opportunity to work as a Production Operative for one of the largest providers of plants to major supermarket chains throughout the UK. Staffline is recruiting Production Operatives to work in Chatteris.
The rates of pay are:
- Day shift is paid at £12.21 per hour
- Overtime is available after working 48 hours and paid at £15.26 per hour
Shifts may range from 10 to 12 hours; however, the typical start and finish times will be from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Local candidates in Chatteris are encouraged to apply. Transport is available for those travelling from Peterborough.
Your Time at Work
As a Production Operative, your duties may include:
- Maintaining high product quality standards and promptly reporting any issues
- Accurately applying labels and producing labelled collars
- Assembling Q-boxes and maintaining smooth production flow to ensure on-time dispatch
- Operating and monitoring machinery such as bucket and strapping machines, clearing blockages, and ensuring continuous operation
- Using tablets or scanners to operate systems (e.g., Rubicon) and ensuring all finished goods are correctly recorded and scanned
- Setting up production runs with the correct materials, including buckets, labels, and packaging
- Loading and unloading trolleys or pallets to support dispatch operations
- Maintaining clean and orderly work areas to ensure efficient workflow and safe operations
- Assisting with seasonal displays and production requirements during peak periods (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas)
Qualifications
Our perfect Production Operative will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a keen eye for detail. You will take pride in doing your job well and be happy to work as part of a team to meet daily targets. You will need to be comfortable standing and moving around throughout your shift, and you will always follow health and safety guidelines to help keep the workplace safe and efficient.
