Apply today to work as a HGV Class 2 Driver for our client's UK Leading Bread Manufacturer, producing and delivering a wide range of bread and bakery products to retailers and customers across the region. Staffline is recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to work Nights in Dagenham. The rate of pay is £18.11 - £26.15 per hour. This role offers both full and part-time positions between the hours of:
- 00:00am (Midnight) - 03:00am, plus 5 afternoon routes at 16:00pm
Drivers will work an average of 12 hours per day.
Your Time at Work
As a HGV Class 2 Driver your duties include:
- Completing all deliveries between 15 and 30 drops per day, our routes cover store deliveries in London, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Norfolk, Suffolk, and some routes go out to Oxford, up to Milton Keynes, Cambridge, and Stevenage.
- Loading your own vehicle in route order - loaders are available but not always for every driver.
- The bread is stacked in bread baskets/Wheels. The driver will have a metal hook to load, unload and manoeuvre the bread baskets.
- You will be allocated a bay. Once the vehicle is in the bay, a member of the warehouse team and the driver will retrieve the product from the warehouse and wheel it to the bay, ready for the driver to load the vehicle.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will have excellent communication, a can-do attitude, and great customer service skills. Applicants will have a valid UK C category Licence, Taco card & CPC. A maximum of 6 points on your Licence No DR's, IN's, or any other major Endorsements. A minimum of 6 months of experience driving HGV2 Vehicles in the UK.
