Great opportunity to work as a Counterbalance Forklift Driver for our client's milk factory - A manufacturer and distributor of milk products. Staffline is recruiting Counterbalance Forklift Drivers in Skelmersdale. The rate of pay is £15.35 per hour. This is a full-time role working rotating shifts, 4 on 4 off, and the hours of work are:
- 7am to 7pm
- 7pm to 7am
Your Time at Work
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver your duties include:
- Loading and unloading of any trailers on site.
- Organising and preparing loads for dispatch and checking before dispatch.
- Operating machinery as and when asked.
- Any reasonable job asked of senior management.
- Loading and unloading of racking/packaging.
- Checking QC of full pallets and empty pallets.
- Cleaning up and cleaning outside as and when required.
- Ensuring loads are compliant (paperwork).
- Stock take as and when asked.
- Scanning in and out powder into racking and loads.
- Notify management of pest control.
- Ensure all process is carried out in line with standard operating procedures.
- Wear PPE as and when needed.
- Perform racking checks.
- Perform FLT/PPT checks.
- Report any Health & Safety issues to supervisor/management.
Our Perfect Worker
Our perfect worker will be able to do some manual handling as required for this role. Applicants will hold an in-date counterbalance licence taken in the last three years. Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
